Life on earth began in the sea. The first food sources were oases and algae. Spirulina is one of the most ancient prehistoric life forms, with a record 350 million years of existence until today.
Currently there are around 35 types of Spirulina in the world. Spirulina with larger dimensions which can be consumed by human are Arthropira, Arthropira (Spirulina) Maxima and Arthropira (Spirulina) Platensis.
Apart form these Spirulina is a micro algae that thrives in hot, sunny climates and in alkaline water around the world. It contains concentrations of nutrients unlike any other single grain, herb or plant.
Last but no least Spirulina is 1000 times higher in concentrated nutrients compared to regular seaweeds and vegetables. When consumed daily, spirulina will replenish nutrients that are lacking as a result of a diet low in fruits and vegetable, provide balance nutrition and improve acidic body conditions.
